The feed grinder is mainly used for crushing feed and various coarse feed. The purpose of feed crushing is to increase the surface area of feed and adjust the particle size. Increasing surface area, improving palatability, and easily coming into contact with digestive juices within the digestive tract are beneficial for improving digestion rate and better absorbing feed nutrients. Adjusting the particle size not only reduces the energy consumption of livestock and poultry chewing, but also makes transportation, storage, mixing, and granulation more convenient, with better efficiency and quality.
Select based on production capacity
The manual and nameplate of a general crusher contain the determined production capacity (kg/hour) of the crusher, but several points should be noted:
1. The rated production capacity refers to the output under a specific state, such as a grain feed crusher, which refers to the crushing raw material being corn, with a moisture content of about 13% for safe storage, and a sieve diameter of 1.2 millimeters. Because corn is a commonly used grain feed, a sieve with a diameter of 1.2 millimeters is commonly used as a small sieve, resulting in low production capacity. This takes into account the generally difficult conditions in production.
2. The production capacity of the selected crusher should be slightly greater than the actual required production capacity, otherwise it will lead to increased hammer wear, air duct leakage, etc., resulting in a decrease in production capacity and affecting the continuous production and supply of feed.
Selection based on crushing raw materials
For those that mainly crush grain feed, a hammer type crusher with top feeding can be selected; For those that mainly crush bran, grain, and wheat feed, a claw crusher can be selected; If good universality is required, mainly for crushing grains, and considering both cake and straw, a tangential feed hammer crusher can be selected; Crushing mineral feed such as seashells can be achieved by using a seashellless crusher; If it is used as a pre-treatment for pre mixed feed and requires the product to be finely crushed and adjustable according to needs, special non sieve crushers should be selected.
Select according to the layout method
There are three ways to output crushed products through the discharge device: self weight feeding, negative pressure suction, and mechanical conveying. Small single machines often use self weight cutting to simplify the structure. Most medium-sized crushers are equipped with negative pressure suction devices, which have the advantage of absorbing moisture from the finished product, reducing humidity in the finished product and facilitating storage, improving crushing efficiency by 10% to 15%, and reducing dust emission in the crushing chamber.
Select according to the matching power
The machine manual and nameplate both contain the power kilowatts of the motor that comes with the crusher. It often indicates not a fixed number but a certain range. For example, the 9FQ-20 crusher has a supporting power range of 7.5 kW to 11.0 kW; The 9FQ-60 crusher is equipped with a power range of 30 kW to 40 kW. There are two reasons for this: firstly, there are significant differences in the power required for different types of crushed raw materials, such as under the same working conditions, the power required for crushing sorghum is twice that of crushing corn; The second is that when different sieve holes are used, the load of the crusher has a significant impact. Therefore, when using a sieve with a diameter of 1.2 millimeters, the motor capacity of the 9FQ-60 crusher should be 40 kilowatts. When switching to a screen with a diameter of 2mm, a 30 kW motor can be used, while a 3 mm diameter screen requires a 22 kW motor, otherwise it will cause some degree of waste.
Select based on energy-saving situation
According to the standards and regulations of relevant departments, when using a sieve with a diameter of 1.2 millimeters to crush corn, the output per kilowatt hour of electricity of the hammer crusher shall not be less than 48 kilograms. At present, the production per kilowatt hour of domestic hammer crusher has greatly exceeded the above regulations, with high-quality ones reaching 70 to 75 kilograms per kilowatt hour.
Select based on dust and noise
The dust and noise in feed processing mainly come from the grinder. Both indicators should be fully considered during selection. If a grinder with high noise and dust is chosen as a last resort, measures such as noise reduction and dust prevention should be taken to improve the working environment and benefit the physical health of the operators.
